September is a FANTASTIC time to see the Garden – lush summer foliage and flowers spill onto walkways with vibrant colors!  It’s not to soon to start thinking about fall and start your plans for participating for Scarecrows In the Garden – registration to participate is due September 21. 

Weekends in September: September is a busy time for butterflies in the Garden. Pick up a butterfly survey in the visitor center to take as you explore outside and to record what butterflies you may see!

Thursday, September 6: Bring your 4-legged family member to sniff and stroll with you on Dog Night

Thursday, September 13: Hear about the importance of local agriculture and food production when Emily Oakley, co-owner of Three Springs Farm talks about Small-Scale Organic Farming

Thursday, September 20:  Members Only Plant Sale is 5 to 8 p.m., plus we’ll have Garden Rhythms with drums and more from starting at 6:30 p.m.  Food truck and cash bar from 5 to 8 p.m.

Friday, September 21:  Make reservations for our Fall Equinox Night Hike 

Saturday, September 22: Our Fall Plant Sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Tuesday, September 25: Garden Circle Members enjoy cocktails, music and demonstrations at Circle In the Square

Thursday, September 27: Come after work for a guided Nature Connection Walk at 6 p.m.

Saturday, September 29: Our third annual literary brunch: Writers with Dirty Hands, The Garden Passions of Vita Sackville-West and Eudora Welty. – limited seating under a tent at the top of the Tandy Floral Terraces. Make your reservations now.
