Festivities For All
In addition to our year-round educational and cultural programming, we have several annual events that have become a tradition for families in the Tulsa community.
Proceeds from these events help fund Garden operations and programs. Sponsorship opportunities are available for each of these events.
Tulsa Botanic BLOOMS!
Our celebration of spring with one of the largest flower displays in the region. Over 200,000 tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses and other spring flowering bulbs provide a crescendo of color from 4-8 weeks each spring. Bands & Blooms begin mid-March on Thursday evenings, and many other events are scheduled. The weather decides when bulbs will be blooming, but we celebrate from mid-March to late April.
Autumn in the
Botanic Garden
This event includes pumpkin displays, Bands & Blooms on Thursday nights and Scarecrows In the Garden – scarecrows made by groups, families, organizations, businesses and artists which are displayed among thousands of pumpkins, a hay maze and fall florals. Garden guests vote on their favorite scarecrow for the People’s Choice Award. Families can come trick-or-treat at BOO-tanical on Thursday evenings in October.
Botanic Garden of Lights
Botanic Garden of Lights offers a magical escape from the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Make lasting memories with family and friends as you stroll the Garden aglow with lights and enjoy holiday activities fun for all ages.
2022 Botanic Garden of Lights is presented by Bank of Oklahoma.
Beaujolais
Beaujolais is our fundraising dinner held on the third Friday in November. Guests enjoy a dinner prepared by one of Tulsa’s leading chefs and taste the just-released Beaujolais Nouveau wines from France. Funds from this event help support the Garden’s programs and operations.
Spring and Fall
Plant Sales
Our Spring and Fall Plant Sales are an opportunity to purchase plants chosen, and often times propagated and grown, by our horticulture staff. Plants may be some of the newest varieties available for sale or sometimes rarely found for sale. Our plant sales can include houseplants, summer or fall color annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and bulbs.
Garden members have the chance to shop before the sales open to the public and they also receive a discount on their purchase. A selection of plants is rotated through our gift shop throughout the year for sale as well.
