Kids of all ages are invited to join us as Tulsa musicians Leslie Brown and Kristin Ruyle perform and then lead a demonstration and guided experimentation with the xylophones and drums behind the Spring Giant in our Children’s Discovery Garden. Guests are invited to bring their own drums and audience participation will be encouraged. There will be an instrument-making component following. Leslie Brown teaches flute and African drumming technique through the Barthelmes Conservatory as well as teaching music at Skelly Elementary. Kristin Ruyle performs with many Tulsa artists and bands. 

Coffee House on Your Street food truck will have snack and sandwich options and beer and wine will be available from 5 to 8 p.m. Botanic Garden members can also shop the Member Only Fall Plant Sale from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Garden’s Mabee Grange Building. 

Tulsa Botanic Garden is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm. and until 8pm on Thursdays, through Nov. 1. Admission prices are FREE for Garden members; $8 for ages 13+; $4 for ages 3–12. Children 2 and under are free. Only service dogs are permitted, except for specifically designated Dog Days/Nights (check calendar for upcoming dates). For map/directions, click here.
