First Friday Horticulture Tour
Join a staff horticulturist for a walking tour in the Garden. Tour will last 30-60 minutes. Free with admission, but pre-registration is required.
Did you know:
In the United States, pollination by honeybees and other insects produces $40 billion worth of products annually.
Foods and beverages produced with the help of pollinators include: apples, bananas, blueberries, chocolate, coffee, melons, peaches, potatoes, pumpkins, vanilla, almonds, and tequila. (Imagine a world without some of these things!)
Kids can decorate a pollinator mask and then take our “pollinator challenge” – bee-come a pollinator and find the flowers you would pollinate. Drop-in activities in the visitor center.
The Botanic Garden is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4p.m. Suggested admission is $2 for adults, 50¢ for kids 3-12 yrs. For more information, call 918-289-0330. For map/directions, click here.
