Tuesdays in March are Family Photo Days – Photo permit fees are waived each Tuesday in March from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Families are encouraged to come out to take family photos. See guidelines here. Advance admission tickets required.

HOURS: Garden is Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  See our Bands & Blooms and Golden Hours below for late hours. 

ADMISSION: Free for Garden Members.  Advance tickets (bought up to day prior to your visit) are $8 for ages 16+, $4 for ages 3-15. Tickets are timed-entry (you select the time slot of your arrival; once insde you may stay until closing).  If available, same day tickets are $10 for ages 16+, $5 for ages 3-15.  Children 2 and under are free. 

Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m.: Seed Starting: Vegetables (online class)
For those loving the taste of homegrown tomatoes, this class will lead participants through setting up their seed tray and planting tomato, peppers and other types of vegetable seeds to have them ready to transplant in the garden when temperatures are right. Horticulturist will also discuss cool season crops for fall gardens. Cost: $16 for Garden members; $20 for non-members

Saturday, March 12, 10 a.m.: Seed Starting 101 (online class)
This class is perfect for beginners, but all levels are welcome. Garden curator Ellen Weatherholt will lead participants in creating and planting their seed tray with materials provided and discuss proper care and transplanting. Seeds will include both flowers and vegetables. Cost: $16 for Garden members; $20 for non-members

Wednesday, March 16: Reading Day
Join the Book Loving Princess in our Children’s Discovery Garden for a storytime and meet and greet from 2 to 3 p.m. Children’s bookseller EDC (Educational Development Corporation) will have a pop up shop all day in our gift shop with expanded selection of children’s books.

March 17-April 17: Tulsa Botanic BLOOMS!
Revel in the arrival of spring with over 200,000 blooms during Tulsa Botanic Garden’s annual festival – Tulsa Botanic BLOOMS! Weather dictates blooms but we start celebrating on March 17 with the start of our Bands & Blooms on Thursday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. The Garden will open Tuesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with late hours (open til 8 p.m.) Thursdays March 17 –April 14. The Garden will also be open on Fridays, March 25, April 1 and April 8 until 7 p.m. Advance, timed-entry tickets are required. If available, same day tickets will be a $1-2 higher.

Thursday, March 17: Art Day
Bring your art supplies or pick up some in our gift shop to take outside and sketch, draw, paint or color the garden in spring. Kids can pick up garden-themed coloring sheets and make their own sidewalk art with chalk in the Children’s Discovery Garden. From 1 to 3 p.m., kids can make a pinecone birdfeeder to take home.

Thursday, March 17, 6-8 p.m.: Bands & Blooms – Finnegans Awake 
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your family with folk and Celtic music from Finnegans Awake. Turbos Tacos food truck and cash bar will be available starting at 5:30 p.m. Advance tickets required, purchase online at tulsabotanic.org

Friday, March 18, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Furry Friends 
Garden guests will have the chance to get up close with animals in a petting zoo visiting from 11 to 3. Included with admission; advance tickets required.

Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Kite Day
Families can bring a kite to fly on the Garden’s lawn. Advance tickets required.

Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Dog Day
Dog Days are the only time when four-legged family members can join their humans for a walk in the Garden. Animal Aid of Tulsa will be onsite with dogs looking for forever homes and have information on fostering and volunteering. Oklahoma K9 PT will also be available from 12-3 pm with information about their canine rehabilitation and wellness services. Advance tickets are required. Regular admission and $4 for non-member dogs.

Saturday, March 19, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Open House – Mabee Grange
Tour the Garden’s J.E. and L.E. Mabee Grange, meet Garden staff and learn more about scheduling your private event. RSVP to kwilson@tulsabotanic.org.

Thursday, March 24, 6-8 p.m.: Bands & Blooms- Studio House Project
Studio House Project will play from 6 to 8 p.m. V’FRESCO food truck, Cherry & Bark ice cream cart, and cash bar will be available starting at 5:30 p.m.

Fridays, March 25, April 1 & 8: Golden Hour
Unwind from your week with a sunset stroll as the Garden stays open until 7 p.m.

Monday, March 28: Deadline for tickets to Tiptoe through the Tulips

Thursday, March 31, 6-8 p.m.: Bands & Blooms – Branjae: Born in the city of Motown, songwriter Branjae established herself as a full-bodied, triple entertainer. Singing, dancing, and acting her way into the hearts of concert audiences from Tulsa to New York City, from Atlanta to Chicago and across the sea to England. In 2018, Branjae earned awards from Absolute Best of Tulsa, 5 nominations at the Tulsa Music Awards, and was an official SXSW showcasing artist. Food Truck TBA, local ice cream cart Cherry & Bark, and cash bar will be available at 5:30 p.m. Advance tickets required.

April: Tiptoe through the Tulips – April 2, 2022 from 6-8pm:
Stroll through thousands of tulips at the height of bloom in this exclusive evening benefiting the Garden. Sip a signature cocktail, wines and beer and enjoy savory hors d’oeuvres from Duet. Live jazz music from The Booker Gillespie Trio, lawn games and stunning spring color will provide the perfect setting for this garden party!  Wear comfortable shoes for your garden stroll. Limited tickets are $100 per person for Garden members and $125 for non-members and must be purchased by March 28. Proceeds benefit the Garden. 

See What’s Blooming
