Our drop-in “Plant School Programs” are for aspiring and established garden enthusiasts and will be every Thursday in September, 6:30-7:30 p.m.. Bring your burning plant questions, as the informal format of these classes will lend itself to fun discussions with our talented horticulture staff.

Thursday, September 5, 6:30-7:30 p.m.: Pruning for Natural Shape and Plant Health

Children’s Discovery Garden Curator Ellen Weatherholt will guide participants through her most-trusted pruning techniques on a wide variety of woody perennial plants and smaller trees growing in the Children’s Discovery Garden. Participants can learn about branching structure, plant growth habits, and timing when pruning. Free with regular admission; no registration required.

Tulsa Botanic Garden is open Tuesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays during Daylight Saving Time. Admission is FREE for Garden members; $8 for ages 13+, $4 for ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free.
