The Garden will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free for active and retired military.
Due to trail conditions, this event has been postponed to March 7.
Explore the sights and sounds of native prairie and forest with a moonlit hike on our 1.5 mile Cross Timbers Nature trail. Take a self-guided walk at your own pace or opt for a guided walk with a Garden horticulturist (see schedule below!). Guided hike is approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is geared for ages 16 and up. Comfortable shoes, warm clothes and red flashlights/flashlights with red filters are encouraged.
Warm drinks (hot cocoa, coffee) and other beverages (beer, wine, hard cider, water) will be available for purchase before or after your walk. Charcuterie and sweet and salty snacks will also be available for sale.
Note: Trail surface is mowed path and uneven surface rocks and cannot accommodate strollers, wagons, or wheelchairs.
Event is come and go, last admission at 7 p.m. to ensure time to walk trail before event closes at 8 p.m. Dogs are not permitted at this event.

Join a staff horticulturist for a walking tour in the Garden. Tour will last 45-60 minutes. Free with admission, but pre-registration is required.
To celebrate Best Friends Day, we'll offer buy one regular admission, get admission for your best friend free! Second Saturday Dog Days are special days when your four-legged family member can join you for a walk in the Garden (dogs are not allowed other times). Dogs must be up-to-date on all registrations and vaccinations and must be controlled on a non-retractable 6' leash at all times by an adult. Owners are required to clean up after their pets. Join us for Yoga & Meditation on the Lawn near the Garden’s Mabee Grange to wake up the body and refresh the mind! We will begin with mindful breathing and an introspective meditation to encourage brain and heart coherence. The movement portion is about 50 minutes, beginning with gentle head, neck, and spinal mobility stretches. Sequences gradually incorporate Vinyasa flows at a slow and controlled pace.
