May 2 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Join Garden Curator Jacob Neptune for a walking tour of our Cross Timbers Nature Trail. The Cross Timbers Nature Trail is a one-mile loop trail that traverses through the Garden’s natural areas, part of the Cross Timbers eco-region, where tall grass prairies and oak savannah forests intersect.  Learn about recent projects, including a prescribed burn in fall 2024, to help with removal of invasive species and improve habitat. Tour will meet at the back of the Visitor Center before walking to the trail head.  Trail surface is uneven surface rock and mown grass and cannot accommodate strollers, wheelchairs or wagons.  Closed toe walking shoes are suggested.

Tour is free with Garden admission, however spaces are limited to first-come, first-served sign up sheet in Visitor Center that morning.

Pre-purchase Garden admission tickets below.
