Looking for fun things to do in Tulsa on Thursday nights this summer? Tulsa Botanic Garden invites you to unwind and explore FLORIGAMI Summer Nights—a series of vibrant, family-friendly evenings celebrating art, nature, and community.

Through September 21, the Garden stays open late every Thursday until 8 p.m., giving guests extra time to enjoy blooming landscapes and the stunning FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN exhibit—featuring larger-than-life, nature-inspired metal origami sculptures.

Enjoy refreshing frozen drinks, cocktails, mocktails, and light snacks available for purchase at the Visitor Center. Plus, don’t miss our lineup of themed nights to make each visit unique!

Garden admission required. Free for members. No guest passes accepted. Tulsa Botanic Garden is a cashless facility. 


🌸 Upcoming FLORIGAMI Summer Nights Schedule

June 26 – Flower Power Night

Put on your tie-dye and floral fits and stroll through a garden bursting with color! Snap a selfie with towering tulips and lilies from the FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN display. Enjoy frozen drinks with colorful candy sprinkle toppings.


July 3 – Red, White & BLOOM

Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend early! Wear your red, white, and blue, play lawn games in the Liberty Garden, and grab a free patriotic tattoo for kids (included with admission). Frozen lemonade and cool treats available for purchase. Don’t miss the “Painted Ponies” sculpture near the Liberty Garden entrance!


July 10 – 5 O’Clock Somewhere

We’re bringing tropical vibes to Tulsa! Don your Hawaiian shirts and enjoy Jimmy Buffett tunes while exploring the exotic plantings in the Bevel Bed—think bananas and bold foliage. Pick up a lei (while supplies last) and sip a frozen drink with an umbrella garnish.


July 17 – Date Night

Bring someone special and enjoy a romantic stroll among the blooms. More details coming soon!


July 24 – Lazy Lakeside Night

Unwind by the water on the south side of the lake. Bring a book or picnic and soak up the peaceful side of the Garden. Be sure to check out the FLORIGAMI sculptures on your way to the Lakeside Trail.


July 31 – Dog Night with Cherry & Bark Ice Cream

Celebrate National Mutt Night by bringing your furry friend for an evening walk. Free Pup Cups for dogs and delicious ice cream for humans from Cherry & Bark Ice Cream. Don’t miss a walk through the Bost Arboretum—perfect for spotting the unique “barks” of different trees!


August 7 – Wild Night

Discover Oklahoma’s native plants and wildlife during a special Oklahoma State Symbols Scavenger Hunt. From 6–7 p.m., enjoy a live educational presentation from the Tulsa Zoo, featuring one of their animal ambassadors!


August 14 – Botanic Con

It’s the ultimate nature-meets-nerd-culture celebration! Dress up in your favorite cosplay or comic con costume and explore the Garden in style. Celebrate science, sustainability, and pop culture among the plants!


August 21 – Girls’ Night Out

Grab your besties and head to the Garden for a relaxing night filled with blooms, laughs, and picture-perfect views. Details to come!


August 28 – Art After Hours

Bring your sketchpad, canvas, or paints and create your own masterpiece surrounded by the beauty of the Garden. Set up near the Lotus Pool or wherever inspiration strikes in the FLORIGAMI exhibit. We will have small watercolor paint palettes for sale in our Gift Shop!
