Local artist Sara Bost Fisher will be on hand on Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m. to showcase new pieces created specifically for the Botanic Garden’s gift shop. In addition to one-of-a-kind bust vases, she will have stationery and tote bags printed with her original art. Items will be available for sale in the Garden’s gift shop starting that evening and proceeds from the sales will benefit the Botanic Garden.

Sara Bost Fisher began creating from a very young age and would go door to door in her neighborhood selling her creations. In 2011, she started painting on a more regular basis and began exploring it as more than a hobby. She creates art for every aspect of life with a signature style that is colorful with a whimsical abstract aesthetic using mixed media.

In addition to creating art pieces to hang on the wall, her line has evolved to include wrapping paper, fabrics, luxury wallcoverings, home accessories like acrylic trays and pillows, as well as seasonal décor. The goal of each piece is to evoke happiness.

The showcase corresponds with our first Bands & Blooms of the spring 2023 series. Jazz vocalist Annie Ellicott will performing from 6 to 8 p.m.
