Join Garden staff for a guided hike on our Cross Timbers Nature Trail (0.8-mile loop) and take in wide winter skies and a glowing sunset.

Before heading out, enjoy a short presentation from 3:30–4 p.m. in the Mabee Grange Event Center, where you’ll learn about the unique features of the Cross Timbers ecoregion and how Garden staff are working to enhance this special area of the Garden.

After the hike, warm up by a fire pit or relax indoors at the Mabee Grange while enjoying hot cocoa or other beverages from the bar. Light bites will also be available for purchase (cashless transactions only).

Garden Members: Free, but Advance Tickets required.   Join today!

Non-members (ages 3 and up): $15 per person.

Limited tickets.  Purchase/reserve your tickets in advance

Please note: Other areas of the Garden will not be open during this event. Comfortable hiking shoes are recommended. The nature trail is not accessible for wagons, strollers, or wheelchairs. Dogs are not permitted at this event.
