Join a Garden curator Jacob Neptune for a special tour of the new Cross Timbers Nature Trail. Learn about recent developments in managing the Garden’s native Cross Timbers forest and prairie with prescribed burns, invasive plant removal and trail re-routing to mitigate erosion and safety concerns.  Hear about plans to expand the trail system. 

Note: the Cross Timbers Nature Trail is not accessible. Trail is a .8 mile loop.  Closed-toe walking/hiking shoes are suggested. Check-in inside Visitor Center upon arrival.   

Tour is free with Garden admission, however spaces are limited to first-come, first-served sign up sheet in Visitor Center that morning.
