DESCRIPTION:The Botanic Garden will be open on Labor Day\, Monday\, Sept. 1\, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.   \nCome out for a walk through lush gardens and to see the art exhibit FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box.  These larger-than-life sculptures of tulips\, lilies\, birds\, turtles\, sunflowers and more were created in collaboration with origami masters. The museum-quality metal sculptures are set among our five developed gardens. Interpretive signs and free audio tour provide more information about each piece.  Kids can pick up a scavenger hunt in the Visitor Center to find all the sculptures while exploring the Garden.  \nTICKETS:  Free for Garden members. \nNon-members: Ages 16 and up: $15 | Ages 3-15: $10 | Ages 2 and under: $0 ticket\nAll transactions onsite are cashless.  Prices above do not include tax and processing fee.

The band has worked on blending nostalgic sounds with vulnerable lyrics\, to create focused pop that could have come out yesterday – or the mid 70’s. Bring chairs or a blanket\, if you like\, to enjoy the live music from local artists and fantastic views from the lawn. \nFOOD & DRINK\,  starting at 5 p.m.: Our Botanic Bar has beer\, wine and cocktails to sip as you stroll through our lush gardens! \nOur Garden of Eatin’ will have delicious food options for purchase. No outside food and drink is allowed on Thursday nights. All transactions at the Garden are cashless. \n \nLIVE MUSIC:\n \n  \n5-6 p.m.\nNational Fiddlers Hall of Fame\nWhile Johnny Murrell is setting up\, enjoy music from fiddlers with the National Fiddlers Hall of Fame on the Main Lawn\, including 2015 Hall of Fame inductee Jana Jae\, aka “First Lady of Country Fiddle”\, who has appeared with country music greats Roy Clark\, Ray Stevens\, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Ricky Skaggs.  Other fiddlers will include Mackynsie and Austin McKedy\, Sydni and Robyn Coleman and Tammy Wilmoth.  \n  \n \n6-8 p.m. \nJohnny Murrell is a local singer/songwriter\, actor\, fashion consultant\, and entrepreneur raised in T-Town. He writes and performs his original music on piano and guitar\, with a unique\, soulful-rock\, and classic pop style. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a fall afternoon with your family and support the Botanic Garden!\nGather your family and join us for an afternoon of fall festivities that everyone will enjoy at our 12th Annual DIG -Day In the Garden. \nExplore the colorful pumpkin patch\, where you’ll find pumpkins of all shapes and sizes—perfect for your fall decor. Capture precious moments with photos in the pumpkin patch and navigate the hay maze. Be sure to visit “Scarecrow Row” to browse all the creative entries from our community and vote for your favorite! \nKids will love the bubble-making stations\, inflatable slides\, face painting and DJ with music that will keep them entertained all afternoon. Kids will also get to dig into fun garden activities including planting and decorating a Spooky Fairy Garden to take home\, creating a Nature Wand and Flower Weaving. \nEnjoy complimentary sno-cones from Josh’s Sno Shack and enjoy family-friendly snacks. Tickets include all the activities\, snacks\, and non-alcoholic drinks. Beer\, wine\, and sno-cone mix-ins for 21+ will be available for purchase (cashless only). \nTickets\n$30 for Garden Member adults; $40 for non-member adults. Children are free with adult ticket.\nProceeds from this event will go to support renovations to the Driskill Children’s Discovery Garden.  \n \nNote: Garden will close to regular admission at 12 p.m. and reopen to DIG ticket holders only from 2 to 5 p.m.\nBe a part of our annual DIG-Day In the Garden as a sponsor!
