You will not need to do anything.  If you are not able to attend on Feb. 12.\, please contact us for other options via email at info@tulsabotanic.org.  Thank you! \nNursery and Plant Records Manager Lori Fry will teach all about orchids and their care as you create your own living arrangement with an orchid\, moss and driftwood\, Pre-registration required and includes materials. \nRegistration: $34 per person Garden Member / $40 per person for Non-members \nMembers: Remember to Log In to see member pricing. \nWorkshop will be held in the Garden’s Mabee Grange building. ALL PARTICIPANTS are expected to wear a mask\, regardless of vaccination status. \n \nRegistration closes on Friday\, Feb. 11 at 11:59 p.m. or when full\, whichever is first. If needed\, any updates or decision on rescheduling would be posted on website and social media by noon on Friday. \nParticipants will have the option to purchase additional materials/kits to create a second arrangement at home for: $20-includes orchid\, moss and small driftwood log OR $30 kit that includes orchid\, 2 air plants and cork bark in place of log. A limited amount of select houseplants will also be available for sale to workshop participants (about $15)  as well as a native orchid. \n

SUMMARY:Full Moon Nature Hike
DESCRIPTION:Explore the sights and sounds of native prairie and forest with a moonlit hike on our 1.5 mile Cross Timbers Nature trail. Take a self-guided walk at your own pace or arrive by 6 p.m. for a guided walk with horticulturist Matthew Southall.  Guided hike is approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is geared for ages 16 and up. Comfortable shoes\, warm clothes and red flashlights encouraged. Trail surface is mowed path and uneven surface rocks and cannot accommodate strollers\, wagons\, or wheelchairs. \nWarm drinks and other beverages as well as s’mores kits will be available for purchase before or after your walk\, with fire pits nearby.  \nEvent is come and go\, last admission at 7 p.m. to ensure time to walk trail before event closes at 8 p.m. Dogs are not permitted at this event.  \n  \nTICKETS: Garden members: $10 for ages 16+\, $5 for ages 3-15.  Non-members: $15 for ages 16+\, $6 for ages 3-15. \nMembers: Remember to log in to see member pricing. \n \nNOTE: If weather conditions warrant\, a decision on cancelling this event will be made by noon the day of the event and will be announced on social media and the website. \n \n

We will focus on proper timing\, seed harvesting\, cleaning and more. \nMaterials kit is included in registration fee and includes: potting media\, container\, seeds and crop specific growing information.  Seeds will include: Hibiscus coccineus f. Ellen has a Master’s in Public Garden Leadership from Cornell University and a BS in Horticulture from Oklahoma State University.
