SUMMARY:Photographing Nature
DESCRIPTION:Sharon King Grimm will give a photographer’s perspective on how to capture what we see in nature. She’ll start with a brief presentation in the visitor center followed by a walk through the Garden to help you see light in a whole new way.  \nSharon King Grimm believes in photography’s unique ability to capture a fleeting moment of real life and to preserve that instant for all time.  When that is achieved\, a photograph becomes timeless. \nSharon earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Tulsa.  She has been a nature\, sports and portrait photographer for over forty years.  Sharon’s photographs have been published on numerous occasions\, have been on display at the National Basketball Hall of Fame and have been shown at the Thomas Gilcrease Museum.  Her work can be found locally for sale at the M.A. Doran Gallery.  The artist lives and works in Tulsa. \nWhether you are a novice or a more seasoned photographer\, Sharon will suggest ways that your photographs can more fully come to life.  Meet in visitor center at 9 a.m. Wear comfortable walking shoes. \nThe Botanic Garden is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Suggested admission is $2 for adults\, 50¢ for kids 3-12 yrs. Free for Garden members.  For more information\, call 918-289-0330. For map/directions\, click here.
