SUMMARY:Container Vegetable Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Growing vegetables in containers allows you to grow delicious fresh food right on your patio\, balcony\, or among your existing landscaping. Learn which vegetables grow well in our region that are also well-suited to container gardening. Varieties\, planting instruction\, and how to care for your plants will be discussed. Laura Koval\, owner of AbleVeg will be leading this class. \nClass will be inside the Garden’s Mabee Grange and limited to allow for physical distancing. Doors will be open for air flow and masks required. Tickets are limited and free for Garden members and $8 for non-members (your ticket includes admission to Garden) and must be purchased in advance. Ages 18+ \n   \nAbout the Instructor:Laura Koval is the Owner of AbleVeg\, a company dedicated to helping backyard gardeners create and confidently maintain their edible gardens. She is a lifelong gardener who fell in love with her first flower garden when she was 3 and has always had something growing since then. She moved to Tulsa in 2015 from Denver\, CO and started volunteering with the Tulsa Master Gardeners soon thereafter. After becoming a foster parent and adopting two small children she realized how important gardening can be for a family\, providing an outdoor sanctuary for all ages that encourages exercise and healthy eating. Her goal is to make gardening possible for everyone and to provide them with the knowledge they need to make their garden thrive. \n \nImage Credit: Laura Koval
