DESCRIPTION:NOTE: Dog Day on March 12 has been MOVED to March 19 due to weather.  If you have tickets\, please email support@tulsabotanic.org to have them changed to the new date. \nSecond Saturday Dog Days are special days when your four-legged family member can join you for a walk in the Garden (dogs are not allowed other times). Pups must be up-to-date on all registrations and vaccinations and must be controlled on a non-retractable leash at all times. Owners are required to clean up after their pets.  We reserve the right to demand unruly dogs (and owners) leave our premises immediately. \nFrom 12 – 3 p.m. Animal Aid of Tulsa will be onsite with dogs looking for forever homes and have information on fostering and volunteering. Oklahoma K9 PT will also be available from 12-3 pm with information about their canine rehabilitation and wellness services.  \nTICKETS: Advance tickets\, with timed entry\, via online purchase are required.  Admission is FREE for Garden members and member dogs; $8 for ages 16+\, $4 for ages 3-15. Children 2 and under are free. Non-member dogs are $4 per dog.  You must purchase a ticket for your admission and for your dog. \n Join as a member or renew your membership for free admission and more! \n  \n \nNeed help? (LOG IN to see/reserve member $0 tickets).  Non-members: Ages 16+: $8\, Ages 3-15: $4. \n \nInstructor:  Sue has been practicing yoga for over 20 years.  Her practice evolved into a passion for sharing yoga with the community in a fun and accessible way while keeping a foundation of the yoga traditions.⁠ \n \n \nLydia Gray is a classically-trained soprano and pianist who earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Oklahoma and her Masters in Music in Vocal Performance at Florida State University. She is currently a resident artist with Tulsa Opera and was a two-time Talent Award winner at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. She is on the voice faculty at Oral Roberts University and is represented by Reel Talent Studio for film/TV/commercial work. This spring\, you can catch her onstage as Lina Lamont in Theatre Tulsa’s production of Singin’ in the Rain or as Judith Bliss in Noel Coward’s Hay Fever with Theatre West. Pups must be up-to-date on all registrations and vaccinations and must be controlled on a non-retractable leash at all times. Owners are required to clean up after their pets.  We reserve the right to demand unruly dogs (and owners) leave our premises immediately. \nPlease Note: Garden is closing early at 4:30 for a private event. \nTulsa SPCA\, Edgewood Veterinary Hospital and Hollywood Feed will have information\, giveaways\, adoptable pups\, etc from 10 am-1 pm. Dogs are free in October! \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are recommended and discounted $1-2/ticket. Admission is FREE for Garden members and member dogs. SUMMARY:Kokedama Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Kokedama (Japanese for “moss ball”) is a style of potting up a plant in a moss ball which can then be hung or displayed on a flat surface.  It’s a great way to grow and display plants in small spaces or areas where a traditional potted plant might not work. \n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about kokedama with Nursery & Plant Records Manager Lori Fry in a workshop inside our Mabee Grange. Lori will lead everyone in creating a staghorn fern kokedama and each participant will also receive another “surprise” plant to make a second kokedama to take home. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Scarecrows! Tulsa Botanic Garden is accepting registrations for entry into their annual scarecrow contest. Artists\, schools\, scouts\, businesses\, families – anyone – can enter a scarecrow to be displayed during the Garden’s Autumn in the Botanic Garden festival from September 22 to October 30. Visitors to the event will vote for the People’s Choice winner and there will also be a Best in Show award. Deadline to register is September 5 and scarecrow drop off dates are September 16\, 17 and 19.

DESCRIPTION:ANNUAL SCARECROW DISPLAY ENTRIES OPEN AUG. 15!\n\n\n\n\nTHINK OUTSIDE THE OVERALLS!\nShow your creativity in Tulsa Botanic Garden’s annual scarecrow show! Registration is open to anyone. It is a perfect activity to do as a group OR as an individual. The sky is the limit as far as what you can do. Think BIG\, think small\, think old\, young\, human and non-human\, traditional and original. Use your IMAGINATION and HAVE FUN! \nGreat for businesses\, schools\, scouts and other youth organizations\, families\, artists\, ….anyone! \nScarecrows will be on display September 22-October 30 during our Autumn In the Botanic Garden festivities! \nIMPORTANT DATES\nOPEN Aug. 15 \nRegistration due: Monday\, Sept. 5\, 2022 \nScarecrow drop-off by appointment on September 16th\, 17th\, or 19th \nScarecrows on display: Sept. 22-Oct. 30 \nMAX SIZE 4 × 5ft \nYour entry must be able to live outdoors for the 5 week run of Autumn in the Botanic Garden. Please keep Oklahoma weather in mind when designing and engineering (STEM!) your scarecrow. Attach everything firmly\, and avoid using materials and items that may blow away easily or be ruined by rain. \nThe Garden will handle the placement and installation of your scarecrow. Each entry will be zip-tied to a T-post coming out of a hay bale (T-post and hay bale are provided). Signage will be provided that will list your name (or group or business name) along with your scarecrow’s title. \nWe ask that your scarecrow be family-friendly. People from all walks of life and of all ages visit the Garden\, and we want everyone to have a pleasant experience.
