SUMMARY:BOOtanical Bands & Blooms: Manta Rays
DESCRIPTION:Tulsa-based rock band Manta Rays formed in the summer of 2016 by high-school friends Jackson Gillett (songwriter\, lead vocals\, rhythm guitar)\, Britton Gregory (bass\, backup vocals) and Ronnie Bunn (drums). Manta Rays later added Tristan Wright (lead guitar) to complete the group that sounds like a bridge between the classic songwriting style of the ‘60s and ‘70s with the more contemporary vibes of new age indie and Brit-rock. While Gillett’s lyrics on their 2019 debut album ‘Dust’ are often introspective they carry the weight of growing up in an increasingly-strange world with a lighthearted charm that is impossible to resist; both on the record and at their consistently packed-out live shows. Manta Ray’s are now working on their second studio album. \nWatch their latest video on YouTube.  \nFood and drinks will be available for sale at 5:30pm including beer\, wine\, cocktails\, non-alcoholic drinks\, hot dogs and more.
