DESCRIPTION:Join Garden Curator Jacob Neptune for a walking tour of our Cross Timbers Nature Trail. The Cross Timbers Nature Trail is a one-mile loop trail that traverses through the Garden’s natural areas\, part of the Cross Timbers eco-region\, where tall grass prairies and oak savannah forests intersect.  Learn about recent projects\, including a prescribed burn in fall 2024\, to help with removal of invasive species and improve habitat. Tour will meet at the back of the Visitor Center before walking to the trail head.  Trail surface is uneven surface rock and mown grass and cannot accommodate strollers\, wheelchairs or wagons.  Closed toe walking shoes are suggested.     \nTour is free with Garden admission\, however spaces are limited to first-come\, first-served sign up sheet in Visitor Center that morning.  \nPre-purchase Garden admission tickets below.

SUMMARY:Sunset Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Get that Summer Stretch!\nJoin us for our third Yoga-centered workshop of 2025!\nEnjoy a gentle\, reflective yoga session hosted by our friends at the Humble Warrior Collective\, with the magical tapestry of sunset over the Osage Hills. Humble Warrior Collective Exec. Director Kendra Guthrie will lead this yoga session. \nClass will be held outdoors in the Garden\, weather permitting. We will embrace the energy of the setting sun with calming\, grounding poses\, gentle breathwork\, and sound bath meditation to invite a sense of peace and connection with nature. \nWhat is  a sound bath? \nImagine a warm hug for your mind and body. A sound bath is a gentle\, immersive experience that combines meditation with sound. This practice works like a reset for your nervous system. Research suggests that these experiences can help reduce stress\, quiet the mind\, and ease physical tension. One study found measurable decreases in feelings of anxiety\, fatigue\, and mood disturbances after sound meditation sessions with instruments like singing bowls. Sound baths support relaxation by calming the nervous system and encouraging a meditative state. Sound bath will be led by Hannah Demuth of High Vibrations Co.  \nDetails\nWe will move class inside our Mabee Grange Event Center\, if needed due to weather.  \n• Tulsa Botanic Garden members are FREE!! Non-Members may purchase tickets for $30.\n• Workshop will be located outside in the Garden\, weather permitting.\n• Please arrive by 6:30 pm\, class begins at 7:00 pm.\n• Mats\, blocks\, and blankets are provided by the instructor\, but you’re welcome to bring your own favorite Yoga equipment. \n**Advance purchase required. Please be sure to purchase your ticket through the Garden website before arrival. \nBecome a Member!    \nThis workshop is offered in collaboration with the Humble Warrior Collective\, a local organization that provides access to trauma-informed movement and mindfulness techniques\, empowering communities to cultivate personal wellness\, discovery\, and resilience. \n \n  \nSave the Date!  Sunday\, Nov. 9 – Sound Bath Experience
