SUMMARY:Harmony Project Holiday Performance
DESCRIPTION:Get in the holiday spirit with a walk at the Garden AND some holiday songs performed by elementary students from Kendall Whittier that participate in Harmony Project Tulsa – an after-school\, music-based mentoring program. If weather cooperates we’ll meet on the lawn behind our visitor center\, or if needed\, we’ll meet inside our Mabee Grange!   \nTake a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday and come enjoy wonderful music that these students have been learning!  \nFree with Garden admission.  \n  \nHarmony Project Tulsa (HPT) is a multi-year\, music-based\, after-school mentoring program that gives daily academic tutoring\, string instrument instruction\, and music lessons to students in at-risk communities. HPT is one of nine affiliates of Harmony Project of America\, based on the award-winning Harmony Project Los Angeles. \nThe primary aim of HPT is to build responsible\, productive\, caring citizens\, while using music as a means of positive development and social inclusion. \nLearn more on their website.
