DESCRIPTION:More hours for flowers – our Bands & Blooms are great for a date night\, girls’ night out\, meet-up with friends or a family outing!  Bring chairs or a blanket\, if you like\, to enjoy the live music from local artists and fantastic views from the lawn.   \nShop for your fall decor in our pumpkin patch\, take fun selfies at photo stops\, navigate the hay maze\, see all the creative scarecrow entries – and vote for your favorite!  \nHave a picnic! Our Garden of Eatin’ refreshment stand will open at 5:30 p.m. with brats\, hot dogs\, popcorn\, pretzel bites\, and more. Stop at our Botanic Bar for beer\, wine or cocktail to sip as you stroll through our lush gardens. (outside alcohol is not permitted. no glass containers). \nMUSIC is 6-8 p.m. John Depew is an award-winning musician and songwriter influenced by ‘gypsy jazz\,’ swing\, and a variety of folk styles. He features mandolin\, claw-hammer banjo\, bouzouki\, and acoustic guitar. John is the 2022 Kansas Mandolin Champion and a 2021 winner of Walnut Valley Festival’s NewSong Showcase.  \nTICKETS: FREE Tickets for Garden members   Members\, get your free tickets online to avoid lines at check-in.  \nRegular admission for non-members: Age 16+: $10 | Age 3-15: $5 | Children under 3: Free\, but ticket required\nGet tickets online to avoid lines.  \n  \nSelect the 5pm Timeslot on October 17th for Bands & Blooms with John Depew. \nBands & Blooms will be Thursday evenings through October 31.\n \nGoing on during Bands & Blooms in October: BOOtanical\nThrow on your favorite costume and join us Thursday evenings in October as the Driskill Children’s Discovery Garden transforms into an enchanting garden for a BOOtanical Experience!  Families can stroll through the decorated pathways to visit ten BOOtanical booths that celebrate monarch butterflies and have games and treats. Each week we’ll also be visited by costumed characters from 6 – 8 p.m. On Oct. 17\, Woody\, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear will be here to greet and take photos with BOOtanical guests. Costumes are encouraged. Additional ticket required for any child participating in BOOtanical experience. DESCRIPTION:BOOtanical is sponsored by Ferguson Subaru! \nThrow on your favorite costume and join us Thursday evenings in October as the Driskill Children’s Discovery Garden transforms into an enchanting garden for a BOOtanical Experience! Families can stroll through the lighted pathways to visit BOOtanical booths celebrating the Monarch Butterfly with new games and loads of treats! Each week we will also have costumed characters greeting and taking photos with BOOtanical guests. See schedule below. \nWith a ticket to BOOtanical Experience\, each child gets a wristband and bag for carrying their prizes. Each child participating in BOOtanical will need a BOOtanical add-on ticket in addition to a regular admission ticket. BOOtanical Tickets are $10/child (0-18) for Garden members; $12/child for non-members. There is no additional charge for adults accompanying children other than regular admission. \nAdd-on your BOOtanical ticket when purchasing admission ticket. Advance tickets are recommended to avoid lines.\nBOOtanical Experiences are rain or shine! Come dressed for weather.
