Plan Your Visit to Botanic Garden of Lights!

Romantic date? Get tickets for 7 or 7:30 entry and come after dinner for drinks and a stroll!

Families looking for a quieter evening? Grab tickets for a weeknight – Santa will be here every night of lights through Dec. 23. 
From Dec. 26-30, we will have a Winter Character visiting each night, 6-8 p.m. including The Grinch (Dec. 26), Buddy the Elf, Elsa, Snow Globe Ballerina and the Nutcracker. Remember to visit the Snowball Pit on the Great Lawn too!

Want to see Santa? He’s here every night of lights through Dec. 23, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Look for him and his sleigh near the flagpole in the Stanford Family Liberty Garden and bring your camera to snap a photo! 

ARRIVAL and TICKETS:

Advance tickets are highly recommended as popular nights and entry times do sell out. Plus, you’ll skip the lines and have a quick and fast check-in. Purchase tickets in advance HERE.

For quick and easy entry, have your E-tickets with QR code printed or displayed on your smartphone to be scanned.

Before arriving, please confirm your ticket date and arrival “entry time”. You can arrive anytime in the hour of your time zone. (ie – 5-6 pm for 5 PM entry). You can stay as long as you like until closing.

There is no waiting area in our visitor center. Please meet all members of your party before entry or distribute tickets to other members of your party for separate check-in.

DRESS/WEATHER:

This is an outdoor walking event. Dress for the weather and wear comfy shoes. We do have benches throughout and our Mabee Grange event center has indoor seating, the most food and drink options, and restrooms. Event will be held rain or shine. Stay updated on inclement weather announcements on our Facebook page and website. Tickets are non-refundable, but if needed, you can change your entry time or date by creating an account from the link in your confirmation email.

FOOD/DRINK OPTIONS:

Hot drinks, s’mores kits, beer, wine, cocktails and more will be available for sale at our Jingle Bar & Bites in our Mabee Grange event center or Jingle Bar & Snacks on the Great Lawn and in our Visitor Center. All transactions are cashless.  SEE MENUs

Santa will be here from 5:30-8:30 p.m. every night of lights through Dec. 23. Look for him and his sleigh near the flagpole in the Stanford Family Liberty Garden.

Restrooms are located in the Visitor Center and in our Mabee Grange event center. A Family restroom is located in the Mabee Grange. 

ACCESSIBILITY: 

Handicapped parking is located in front of our visitor center. We also allow drop-off using the circle drive in front of our Visitor Center. Parking attendants can help direct you.  All major paths of the Botanic Garden are ADA-accessible.  Our Great Lawn is a flat, compacted lawn, with a concrete sidewalk edging it on the east side and fine gravel/grit on the west side. Manual Wheelchairs are available for loan first-come, first-served basis. Inquire at check-in.

VISITING GUIDELINES:

  • The Garden is smoke/vape/tobacco free property. 
  • Pets and therapy animals are not allowed. Service animals are welcome.
  • Outside alcohol is not allowed.
  • Weapons are not allowed.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, but can be rescheduled.
